It’s September 24th, so…

If you open a browser and enter today’s date you get four kinds of results: - the one that tells you that September 24th is the 267th day of the year, - the one that tells you your horoscope for today, - the one aiming merely to entertain you with fun facts in connection with today’s date, - and the scarcest one that we would like to recommend you today.

We found a great website. When you go to the “On This Day” section, not only does it give you a list of related events that are relevant from a historical, political, or cultural point of view, but unlike other similar websites, there is also an option to click and dive into a quiz on the given topic.

For example, if you want to find out about September 24th:

you will find an entry about a BBC miniseries that is an adaptation of a Jane Austen novel, and you can go deeper to an 8-question online quiz to find out how much you know about Jane Austen;

you will also find an entry about the origin of the term ‘Black Friday’ and you can test your economics knowledge by clicking on the blue link at the bottom of the entry;

and you will find another entry that takes you back to the ‘90s and if you click on the blue link you can test your music knowledge.

ℹ  And there are 11 other historically or culturally relevant events that you can read about if you check out the link below:
